ŠKODA with 620.900 vehicles delivered in the first half of 2019

11.7.2019 Mladá Boleslav. ŠKODA delivered in the first half of 2019 worldwide 620.900 vehicles to customers. Thus, the automotive manufacturers is 4.9 percent below the previous year’s level (January to June 2018: 652.700 vehicles), the main reason for this development is the current difficult Situation in the Chinese Car market as a whole.

On the other international markets, ŠKODA delivered in the first six months of the year to a total of 495.000 vehicles and increases deliveries to customers by 1.6 percent. In June, the company recorded 112.500 deliveries and, in particular, in Europe. In Western Europe, ŠKODA delivered in the first of 275.700 vehicles to customers, an increase of 3.2 percent compared to the prior-year period (January to June 2018: 267.100 vehicles) helped. In June, the automobile manufacturer may be provided with a 49.700 vehicles to increase slightly (June 2018: 49.400 vehicles; and +0.5 %). In Central Europe, the manufacturer delivers the car in the first six months of 110.400 vehicles (January to June 2018: 115,000 vehicles; -4.0 %), the June ŠKODA comes to 19.300 deliveries to customers (June 2018: 20.800 vehicles; to -6.9 %). On the Czech home market, deliveries amounted in the first half of the year to 48,000 vehicles (first half of 2018: 52.000 vehicles; -7,6 %), in June, ŠKODA comes there to 8,500 vehicles delivered (June 2018: 9.400 vehicles; down 8.8 %). Clearly, ŠKODA can grow in Slovenia: With 4,300 vehicle deliveries to customers, the manufacturer recorded a growth of 6.1 percent compared to the previous year period (first half of 2018: 4.100 vehicles).

In Eastern Europe, without Russia, ŠKODA increased its deliveries in the first of the year compared to the same period last year by 8.3 per cent to 24,500 vehicles (January to June 2018: 22.600 vehicles) helped. In June, deliveries in comparison to the previous year by 8.3 percent to 4,700 vehicles (June 2018: 4.300 deliveries). Double-digit growth, with sales decreasing in the first half of the year in Serbia (4.000 vehicles, +13.2 %) and in Bulgaria (2,600 vehicles; +27.2 %), and in Kazakhstan, ŠKODA doubled its deliveries compared to the prior-year period, more than (500 vehicles; +133,5 %).

In Russia, the manufacturer achieved in the automotive 39,800 deliveries in the first six months of the year, an increase of 9.6 per cent (first half of 2018: of 36,300 vehicles). In June ŠKODA comes there to 7,100 deliveries (June 2018: 7,100 vehicles; -1,3 %).

On the world’s largest single market, China, ŠKODA recorded in the first half of the year 125.900 deliveries (January to June 2018: 165.500 deliveries; -23,9 %). 23.900 deliveries in June will mean a decrease of 13.1 percent compared to the previous year (June 2018: 27,500 units).
