28.3.2019 Cologne. The Toyota hybrid range continues to grow and grow and improve gradually the environmental balance: in The year 2018 in Germany-selling Toyota and Lexus hybrid models emit only an average of 91.1 grams of CO2 per km according to the NEDC driving cycle.
An analysis of the “Annual registrations of hybrid of the brands Toyota and Lexus in the year 2018 vehicles,” by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) shows, fleets in the Hybrid emission in year-on-year by 0.4 g/km decreased.
The new average is well below the first ab 2021 Europe-wide CO2 limit of 95 g/km – a Testament to the efficiency and environmental impact of the alternative drive. Since the vehicles emit to the air pollution control relevant to nitrogen oxides only in very low dimensions.
No wonder, then, that the hybrid drive in Germany is more popular than ever and Toyota to expand its model range. In addition to the more-developed 1.8-litre hybrid system with 90 kW/122 HP (fuel consumption of 3.3 l/100 km; CO2 combined:-emissions combined: 76 g/km) there are in the future, a Top-in Hybrid with 2.0-Liter petrol engine and a 135 kW/180 HP system performance (fuel consumption combined: 3,7 l/100 km, CO2-emissions combined: 85 g/km) efficiency and driving pleasure go Hand-in-Hand.
So in the world of the alternative drive is always a better journey: Since the introduction of the Prius (fuel consumption of 3.6-3.4 l/100 km; CO2 combined:-emissions combined: 82-78 g/km) in 1997, has sold to Toyota, in the meantime, more than 13 million hybrid vehicles, and therefore CO2 emissions by more than 100 million tons of reduced.
