16.4.2019. World premiere for the Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary: In New York, the anniversary model of the sports car with the racing now-DNA revealed – in that city, in the half a century ago, the Datsun 240Z made its U. S. debut.
The special edition, which is now just before the New York International Auto Show (19. to 28. April 2019) was introduced, is a tribute to the #46 BRE (Brock Racing Enterprises) Datsun 240Z, John Morton at the wheel multiple national SCCA Championships.
“It is no secret that the Datsun 240Z paved the way for Japanese sports cars in the U.S.,” explains Ivan Espinosa, Nissan Corporate Vice President, Global Product Strategy & Planning. “Almost as important in the Z-history of Peter Brock’s a modified 240Z that changed the American Motorsport landscape: After the Premiere of the BRE 240Z in 1970, Nissan/Datsun one of the most successful organization in American motorsports, with Thousands of Victories in the last five decades.”

The Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition
The Nissan 370Z will be offered for model year 2020 in the equipment lines 370Z, Pack and NISMO.
The exterior of the Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition is reminiscent of the legendary BRE cars. A silver paint meets the black accents: trunk, hood, side mirrors and A-pillars are set off in color from the Rest of the body. Another eye-catcher is the stripe on the side of the vehicle. In the side view of a thin line, so if into the eye, which runs from the headlamps to the rear window and in a small triangle in the ends, which is inspired by the C-pillar of the Datsun 240Z. Bi-Xenon-headlights in the “boomerang”Design and LED daytime running lights give the sports car in combination with the striking front spoiler, aggressive and yet elegant face. At the rear, the built-in rear the tomb lights, the front design and stress together with the rear spoiler and the flared bumpers of the strong, athletic Form.
The driver-centric interior, the instrument panel dominates. The instruments themselves are attached to the steering column, in order to offer, regardless of the position of the steering wheel at any time the best view. The Alcantara® – wrapped “50th Anniversary”steering Wheel with a race-inspired centre marker has a large upper Opening, the field of view is improved in addition. The tachometer bears the anniversary logo.
A continuous center console that separates the driver from the passenger seat. The swimming and four-way power-adjustable leather seats with adjustable lumbar support feature, eye-catching stitching, patterns in the backrests, embossed “50th Anniversary”Logo. Dark chrome accents are found throughout the interior, including special sill plates with the Z Logo and the door panels made of synthetic suede that is exclusive to the special model. Fast and agile as always
At the heart of the 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition of the 3.7-Liter, six-cylinder forms. The engine develops 241 kW/328 HP and a maximum torque of 363 Nm. The innovative VVEL technology (Variable Valve Event and Lift) optimizes the Opening and Closing of the valves, so that always exactly the right amount of air flows at the right time in the combustion chamber.
The VVEL System improves by reducing camshaft friction and fuel efficiency. It also ensures cleaner emissions, because the catalyst heats up faster and so the combustion process during cold start stabilized.
The power transmission takes over in the anniversary model is a six-speed manual transmission with close gear ratio, which has the synchronized switching system, SynchroRev Match®. It is the speed of the motor when the Switch automatically adjusts to the speed. So all the driver like a professional racer can turn.
As an Alternative, a Seven speed automatic with Rev-matching, paddle shifters on the steering Wheel, and adaptive shift control – dial, is the desire for a quick, manual Switch with a time switch of 0.5 seconds between the Aisle.
The 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition drives with an optimized double-wishbone front suspension with lightweight forged aluminum arms, a rigid bracket made of aluminum alloy and a hollow anti-roll bar. The independent multi-link rear suspension is also stiffer and lighter than the previous Generation. The rear mount is machined from a casting. High-dynamic shock absorber increase the driving comfort due to reduced friction. A viscous limited-slip differential ensures that power is brought to the road.
