16.4.2019 Mladá Boleslav/Prague. ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab has been invited to Prague as a host and the official Partner for the third Time, talented programmers to the Smart Mobility Hackathon.
More than 60 creative talent developed at the 48-hour programming competition from the 12. to 14. April innovative concepts in the areas of Smart Cities, green mobility, and connectivity. In addition to the main prize of 5,000 Euro by the organizer of the ŠKODA AUTO company DigiLab what the Team Maas TERS for the development of a special algorithm for price prediction of used vehicles. As a reward, a participation in the renowned international mobility conference, EcoMotion Week 2019, in Tel Aviv, waving.
How will mobility look like in the future? What role will electric vehicles play? The contribution of intelligent transport concepts such as car sharing? And how the Infotainment system could look like System of a ŠKODA KODIAQ in the year 2029? These and other questions, the participants in the Smart Mobility Hackathon Prague in 2019.
“The Smart Mobility Hackathon is an excellent opportunity for coders, hackers and creative minds from all over the world, for a 48-hour Marathon of new services and products and to present innovative concepts, ideas and solutions for new mobility services,” says Jarmila Plachá, Director of the ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab in Prague. “The projects with a greater potential for us to be developed in close cooperation with the Teams at the Hackathon, the idea occurred.”
At the international programming contest 12. to 14. April in Prague, 22 Teams from 13 countries presented the challenges of smarter mobility concepts. In a 48-hour Hackathon, the participants competed in teams of Three against each other, and developed innovative projects in eleven different categories, such as, for example, E-mobility, Smart Parking, goods delivery to the vehicle, multi-modal Transport, urban transport or efficient delivery of services. Support the emerging talents received from several mentors, including professionals from the ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab, development, production and the IT Department of ŠKODA AUTO.
Ultimately, the Team won the Father Herfat with the project Gulliver, to App for planning a route based on emotions, and thus secured the main prize of 5,000 euros by the organiser CEEHACKS.
As a Partner and host of the Events connected to the ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab at the third edition of hackathon, creative minds from all over the world. In addition to the winning team of the ŠKODA AUTO China-focused Smart Mobility Hackathon in Beijing, the Israeli Start-up AiGENT-TECH took part on the recommendation of the ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab in Tel Aviv. Both teams convinced with clever ideas and were among the favourites for the overall victory. For multi-modal transport project, the Israeli Team of one of the event partners was excellent.
Team Maas TERS – including members who have won the Smart Mobility Hackathon in Beijing – won the an additional Partner-the price of the ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab Prague for the development of a special algorithm for price prediction of used vehicles. As a profit participation in the EcoMotion Week 2019 in Tel Aviv beckons now. The renowned mobility conference will be held from 10. to 13. June in the Israeli IT-metropolis, and is known worldwide as a hub for innovations in the field of Smart Mobility. ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab Israel supported the winning team in the competition.

The ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab is intended as a platform for the development of ideas and solutions for future-oriented mobility services.
