9.5.2019. Worldwide sales of SEAT went from January to April of 2019, compared to the prior-year period, to seven percent. In order for a manufacturer to crack the Spanish car in the first four months of the year, the mark of 200,000 vehicles sold (202.600).
The sales figures of SEAT amounted in April to 51,000 vehicles, a figure which exceeded the value of 2018 (50.100) to 1.8 percent. This year’s April is the strongest in the company’s history. So with the fire CUPRA* the Spaniards are more record hunting. In the first four months of the year, and 7,900 vehicles, the Performance brand have been sold, which means an increase of 82.3 percent in comparison to the previous year.

Wayne Griffiths, SEAT Board member for sales and Marketing and CEO of CUPRA, highlighted: “Despite the difficult economic conditions we have achieved in the first four months of solid growth, and our market could increase its share, particularly in our key European markets. We are confident that we can maintain this positive Trend for the Rest of the year. This includes, especially, our wide SUV is to contribute to the product range, which now account for more than 40 percent of our worldwide sales. So, the brand new CUPRA has contributed with a strong Performance to make a significant contribution to our success.“
In the first four months of 2019, Germany, Algeria and the United Kingdom were the three countries that have been able to achieve in comparison to the previous year the largest growth. Spain was at this time, measured in terms of the absolute sales, the main market of the SEAT, and pointed with 40,900 vehicles sold, an increase of 4.2 percent. SEAT is still the leading brand in Spain; in Germany (40.100; +13.4 percent) and the UK (25.500; +7.6 percent) to demonstrate to Spain, the places two and three, while France and Italy, two key markets of the Europe-wide growth strategy by SEAT, with 11.400 (+14.6 percent) and 9.600 (+14.4 percent) which is achieved by vehicles sold, so the two-digit growth rates.
SEAT was able to increase its sales in Austria (8.000; +2.5 percent), Switzerland (4.600; +13.9 percent), the Netherlands (4.100; +22.3 percent), Sweden (2.700; +14.1 percent) and Denmark (2.200; +28.4 percent), as well as in Algeria, where the Trend continues to show a steep upwards and almost 12,000 vehicles 11.900 were delivered (; +18.7 percent).
