10.5.2019 Rüsselsheim. Yesterday Borussia Dortmund in BVB the new home FanWelt presented Jersey. Back on the Sleeves and well-placed: The Opel-Blitz.
The game tags-Premiere of the Jersey is in the morning in front of about 80,000 spectators in the sold out Dortmund Arena during the last game of the Bundesliga season against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The new home Jersey of the eight-time German champion is a reference to the 110th anniversary of the Association, which was founded in 1909 at the borsigplatz. With the logo “110 years of – Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow – forever Borussia Dortmund” in the neck area of the Jersey the long history of the club. This fits perfectly with that Opel is this year celebrating 120 years of automotive manufacturer with a long Tradition of tradition of the Association.
The Opel Logo is since the season 2017/18 on-the-BVB jerseys present – and not only on the playing clothing of the professionals, but also on the Shirts of the Fans, which are annually sold in the 100,000-copies worldwide. In the current season, no sleeve sponsor in the football scored according to a study by Nielsen Sports League higher attention values with its Logo of the Opel carmaker.
Opel has maintained since the beginning of the 2012/13 season, a close partnership relationship with Borussia Dortmund. The likeable football club from the Ruhr area and of the nearby car manufacturer from Rüsselsheim, Germany – the fit from the beginning, and together were able to celebrate in the Partner of many Highlights. In the first year of the partnership, the Borussia reached the final of the UEFA Champions League and was Second in the League. After a further two Vice-Championships in 2017 followed by the first joint title of the BVB was in a dramatic final of the DFB-Cup winners ‘ Cup.
The new home Jersey with the Opel-Blitz is available now in the Online store of Borussia Dortmund. The new away shirt, however, is presented only at the beginning of the preparation for the season 2019/20.
