Whit, Short and summer holiday meet – ADAC traffic jam forecast for 19. to 23. June
17.6.2019. This coming weekend, operating on Germany’s reigns high road. Because of the feast of corpus Christi (public holiday on Thursday, 20. June, in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, in Parts of Saxony and Thuringia and in Saarland) start of some motorists on Wednesday afternoon into the extended weekend.
On the same day of the start of the summer and fall holidays. Berlin and Brandenburg are the first German Federal States in which the schools close. Towards the end of the long week-end in baden-württemberg and the Bavarian Whitsun holiday makers come back from vacation. This return traffic in the second half of the week and reaches its climax on Saturday, 22. June.
Then, most importantly, traffic congestion in the South of Germany and on the routes in the direction of North form. On Sunday afternoon, the returnees from the short holiday romp, mainly on Germany’s roads. Even now, in the South of Germany are back roads and Metropolitan highways are particularly affected.

On the Inn valley motorway A 93 Truck on Friday-block instead of severance payments, the impact on car traffic. On the main passage routes of the neighbouring countries, including motorways and coastal roads in Croatia and Slovenia – are the columns longer. The Bavarian Transitions Suben (A 3), Walser mountain (A 8) and Kiefersfelden (A 93) should be scheduled in a time cushion of about an hour.
