Should you need a little more momentum, so the Tuning experts at Abt have developed a on the A1 and its rather confusing official model designation “40 TFSI” tailored Upgrade Kit. As you may remember, States that the updated nomenclature of Audi at the “40 TFSI”, used this abbreviation in the case of gasoline-fueled cars with an engine capacity of between 125 and 150 kW (170-204 HP).
The Abbot modified the A1 Sportback you see here, which helped brought up to a healthy 240 HP and 360 Newton meters, which improved the 0-100 km/h Sprint compared to the six and a seconds, and the standard of vehicle required. In addition, the maximum speed could be increased compared to the series (235 km/h) something. Abbot noted certainly proud that the strong small-car offering more torque than the legendary Sport quattro.
Who would like to receive the increase in performance in an attractive package. For 3.790 Euro chassis are also springs (lowering by 25 to 30 mm) and 18-inch alloy wheels of type SPORT ABT GR with tires of size 215/40 R18. The price savings is around 20 percent in comparison to the sum of the individual prices.
Compared to the old S1 Sportback, the modified A1 from Abt has nine more horsepower, but is around 10 Nm lower torque. The differences in performance will not tell, however, the whole story, because the old S1 always had all-wheel drive on Board, while the strongest of the A1, is on sale today, still front wheel drive. Even the Allroad-inspired A1 city Carver sends its power to the front wheels.
As a final note: The most exciting of the A1, Audi has ever built, what the A1 Quattro in the special edition that came at the end of 2011, with 252 horsepower and a 333 limited edition cars on the market.
