3.4.2019 Leverkusen. Spring feelings at Mazda: 7.092 new registrations, the Japanese manufacturer reached the end of the March a gratifying market share of 2.1 percent on the previous year’s level.
The overall Car market has lost in comparison to the same month last year with a Minus of 0.5 percent, however, a bit of volume and landed a total of at 345.523 new registrations.
The first quarter for the Mazda, especially in the private customer market very successfully. With 47.7 percent of the private approvals of the manufacturer from Hiroshima is clearly above the share of private customers in the total market, amounted on average to only 35.0 percent.
“We are with the outcome of the March and in the first quarter to be very satisfactory, with good two-percent share of the market, we are fully on exchange rate for the year. In particular, the continuing high share of private customers are of course very pleased,“ said Bernard Kaplan, managing Director Mazda Motors Germany GmbH.
As in the previous months, the SUV models are the internal ranking on the first places: At the top in 2019, the Mazda CX-5 with 2.147 approvals in March was followed by the Mazda CX-3 1.624 approvals.
On a pleasing third place in the all-new Mazda3 lands with over 1,500 units sold after a successful introduction to the market in March. The other places of the Mazda2 occupied with almost 900 approvals, then the Mazda6 with nearly 500 authorisations, as well as the Mazda MX-5 with around 450 approvals followed.
