10.5.2019. The conversion of the vehicle plant in Zwickau, the largest production location for E-mobility in Europe is on schedule. Thomas Ulbrich, member of the Board of management Volkswagen Brand for the business area “E-mobility” and management spokesman of Volkswagen Sachsen, underlines the growing importance of the locations: “The Transformation to electric mobility is a huge feat for the Volkswagen, Volkswagen Sachsen and for its workforce. The Chemnitz engine plant is a sustainable, fully utilised. In the future, Pact in perspective, more than 900,000 engines per year were planned. The capacity will be expanded gradually. Thomas Ulbrich: “We earn with the compact Chemnitz TSI engines, the money for the Transformation to E-mobility.”
