On the day of quarter-final games, ŠKODA presented in the Slovak capital of Bratislava, its new E-mobility sub-brand iV, the manufacturer, therefore, showed the CITIGOe iV and the SUPERB iV* the first two electrified series models in the company’s history.
Thus, the company officially launched into the age of electric mobility. In addition, ŠKODA used the sporting Event to present its revised flagship SUPERB and the SUPERB SCOUT for the first time to the Public.
With the E-mobility sub-brand iV a new Chapter in its tradition begins for the Czech manufacturer, rich 124-year history of the company. ŠKODA iV includes, in addition to the structure of the own electrified product family-a holistic, interconnected Ecosystem, in order to make E-mobility for ŠKODA customers as easy and convenient as possible. The purely electric ŠKODA CITIGOe iV and of the new ŠKODA SUPERB iV with Plug-in hybrid drive to start as first models of the manufacturer in the era of E-mobility. In addition, the new ŠKODA SUPERB SCOUT expanded for the first time, the successful SUPERB family gave in Bratislava optically and technically upgraded as their debut.
The specified consumption and emission values were determined in accordance with the legally stipulated measuring method. Since 1. September 2017 to be certain a new car after the worldwide harmonised test procedures for Passenger and light commercial vehicles (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure, WLTP), a more realistic test method for the measurement of the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions type-approved. From 1. September of 2018, will replace the WLTP is the new European driving cycle (NEDC). Due to the more realistic conditions of the test, the WLTP measured fuel consumption and CO2 emission values are in many cases higher than the NEDC measured. Currently, the NEDC to communicate values mandatory yet. If it is a new car, which are type-approved in WLTP, are derived from the NEDC-values of the WLTP-values. The additional indication of the WLTP-values can be made up to their mandatory use is voluntary. To the extent that the NEDC-values are given in ranges, they do not refer to a single, individual vehicle and are not part of the offer. They serve solely for purposes of comparison between different vehicle types. Additional equipment features and accessories (attachment parts, tyres, format, etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as e.g. weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics-and, together with Weather and traffic conditions and individual driving behavior, the fuel consumption, the power consumption, CO2 emissions and driving performance values of a vehicle affect.
