4.9.2019. Award for Wayne Griffiths. The Board of management for sales and Marketing of SEAT S. A. and CEO of CUPRA will receive the annually awarded Eurostars Award by the magazine “Automotive News”.
Thus, the magazine pays tribute to the record-breaking financial figures of the SEAT, and the successful introduction of the new Performance brand CUPRA. The award ceremony will take place next Monday, may 9. September 2019, with more than 70 executives from the automotive industry in the framework of the International automobile exhibition (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main.

SEAT chasing one record after the other
Wayne Griffiths’ contribution as a Board member for sales and Marketing for SEAT crucial to achieve in the past financial year, the best result in the history of the company: The brand increased by 33.4 per cent higher operating profit than in the previous year, and the record value of 254 million euros. In 2018, the company sold a worldwide total of 517.600 vehicles – a Plus of 10.5 percent compared to 2017. Global deliveries increased in the first half of the year by 8.4 percent to 314.300 vehicles. So the CUPRA with approximately 12,700 cars sold – 73.1 percent more than in the same period of 2018 – a record half-year.
