Votes before the Six-hour race of Spa-Francorchamps.
Ernest Knoors (team principal, BMW Team MTEK):

“It’s nice to Spa return. There, where a year ago, our use of the BWW M8 GTE has begun. We want to build on the good performances of the last race and for the third Time on the Podium. The whole Team enjoys it very much, to go with the BMW M8 GTE in the balanced GTE-Pro field to the Start. We look forward to exciting racing. As always in Spa, the weather is the big Unknown. So for the coming weekend, the forecasts are in terms of precipitation and temperatures very ‘challenging’.”

Martin Tomczyk (#81 BMW M8 GTE):

“It is the last race before the 24 hours of Le Mans, and after the strong result in Sebring and I am looking forward to the Six-hour race of Spa. It is the second Time that we go there at the Start, according to many data we have. We have lakes in Sebring how tight the competition is, but we have also seen that we can fight for the Podium. This is definitely our goal. Nicky and I come with a lot of momentum from Sebring and want to take it to the Spa.“

Nick Catsburg (#81 BMW M8 GTE):

“I’m very much looking forward to getting back in Spa-Francorchamps. In the past year, this was the first WEC event for the BMW M8 GTE. Now we are even better positioned. We come up with a podium finish at Sebring in the back to Belgium. I think that we can cut off in the Spa, so good. It is one of my favorite tracks.“

António Félix da Costa (#82 BMW M8 GTE):

“It is great to be back in the Spa to compete there, where twelve months ago, the WEC-adventure for BMW and me has begun. It will be interesting to see how much we have improved in this time. We hope that we will achieve a good result, and many collect points and get us to Le Mans to prepare.“

Augusto Farfus (#82 BMW M8 GTE):

“It’s good that we have come thanks to the ‘Super Season’ two Times to Spa. When we were in 2018 there, it was our first race of the WEC Team, and we had to fight a little bit. Therefore, we will return this year with the aim of achieving a better result. The Team has become much stronger. António and I want to fight for a Podium.“
