Volkswagen Board of management and the works Council to call on employees to participate in the European elections

The statement reads: “A United, sustainable, and in the international competition, strong Europe is in all our interests. The European single market, cross-border trade and the free movement of professionals and the exchange of Knowledge are basic conditions of our competitiveness. But, the United Europe is more than that. It has brought the continent peace and prosperity after centuries of bloody Wars and conflicts.“

As a widely visible sign of his commitment to Europe, the group has attached a Banner with the statement: “Volkswagen chooses Europe” at the power plant South on the site of the Wolfsburg-based group’s headquarters. It shows the Symbol of the European Union and has a blue color. The Banner had a size of 12 x 27 meters, and stays there until the day of the European election in Germany on may 26. May 2019.

The commitment of the Volkswagen group for the participation in the European elections has a long Tradition.
