The Final Collector’s Edition – the beginning of a new Era

About Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic (*1965) what is trained at the John Makepeace School (Dorset, England) as a carpenter before he studied at the Royal College of Art in London, Design. In 1991, he founded in Munich, his own design Studio, he is now to Berlin, moved. He works with his office in various areas, projects in the field of industrial and furniture design, exhibition design, through to collaborations in the fields of architecture and fashion. Work by Konstantin Grcic are among the permanent collections of major design museums in the world (a. o. MoMA/New York, Centre Georges Pompidou/Paris). Grcic defines function in human meaning, combining formal Strictness with considerable mental acuity and humour. Each of his works stands out by a careful study of the history of Design and architecture, as well as his passion for technology and materials. Known for reduced pieces, Grcic is often referred to as minimalist, he prefers to speak of simplicity.
