Innovative six-cylinder engine with Central-Turbo-Layout

The 2,9-litre Biturbo engine of the Cayenne S coupe provides its maximum torque of 550 Nm across a wide speed range between 1,800 and 5,500 rpm. The two exhaust gas turbochargers are in the so-called Central-Turbo Layout on the inside of the cylinder V is arranged. This allows compact dimensions and a depth of the installation position in the vehicle, which lowers the center of gravity and thus the transverse momentum is improved. Due to the short gas path between the combustion and the turbocharger response is particularly spontaneous, and the power build-up quickly. The exhaust manifold is integrated in the cylinder head, whereby the weight is reduced and the manifold of the cooling water is washed. Thus, a highly efficient combustion process particularly under full load.

More dynamic proportions and specific Design elements

The much faster to the rear sloping roof line so the Cayenne S Coupé adds a particularly dynamic appearance. This effect is supported by a fixed roof spoiler that emphasizes the coupé-like Silhouette. Windscreen and A-pillar are due to the 20 mm lowered edge of the roof flatter than the Cayenne.
