Before the Finale of the current season, Audi is setting the course for his future in formula E: Daniel Abt is also in the upcoming season, with Lucas di Grassi for the Audi Sport Team Schaeffler ABT to go in the all-electric racing series at the Start. It is the only pairing that has since the inception of the series in 2014.
With 40 podium finishes and 1.027 points Abt and di Grassi are the most successful Duo in formula E. Since the debut of the series in September 2014, they have contested 56 races side-by-side and in the last season the title in the team standings celebrated. Now it is clear: If the formula E is the end of November in Ad Diriyah, in its sixth season, is the German-Brazilian Duo again in the sign of the Four rings at the Start.
“With eight titles of the candidates before the final weekend, we are experiencing the most exciting season of formula E, and we expect that competition with the entry of Mercedes and Porsche tightened even further,” says Audi Motorsport boss Dieter Gass. “With the early confirmation of our two drivers, we want to put a clear sign in the direction of the competition: We will be optimally prepared to take the challenge. This includes a clear commitment to both our drivers along with the meticulous development and testing of the new car.“

Before the two final races in New York City, in which both the driver and the team to decide the championship, looks Audi sporting Schaeffler back to the ABBOT to a successful season: Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi scored points as the only Team in ten of eleven races, picked up two victories and three further podium places.
“We have for New York is still great objectives. Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler took in the past years the third, twice the second and once the first place in the team standings. Now the team comes with 43 meters behind the second place to the final. Season 3 Champion Lucas di Grassi is 32 points behind second place in the drivers ‘ standings, still in striking distance.
