Now the Nissan super sports is celebrating the car with an impressive world-premiere birthday: At the New York International Auto Show 2019 (19. to 28. April) debuted the 50th Anniversary Edition. What is the anniversary vehicle can bring in terms of technology, the introduction of the model number certainly unimaginable.
To celebrate a half-century GT-R took the developers to task, yet undiscovered potential. Nevertheless, they made sure that the Drive can be enjoyed with the GT-R on every level. The anniversary model is issued in a tradition-rich paint that allude to the successful career of the sports car in the Japanese GP series. For the first time since the GT-R R34, the white racing stripes added Bayside (Wangan) returns Blue. A special process with four layers and double heat treatment provides for eye-catching Highlights and deep shades. Blue color accents on the spokes.

“The Nissan GT-R for half a century our high-performance icon,” says Shinichiro Irie, design Director for the GT-R. “For this anniversary, we wanted to design a model that truly stands out. The Changes to the Exterior and interior design may seem at first glance subtle, but nevertheless effective. Especially the new liveries sharpen the presence of the vehicle.“
Improved Performance
It’s hard to believe that refinement and power of 419 kW (570 HP) 3.8-Liter Bi-Turbo V6, each mounted separately from the Takumi master-in-hand – still room for improvement.
