Your first memory of Zolder?
I was six years old, as I’ve seen in Zolder in my first race. I accompanied a friend of my father who was in the Belcar series in parallel. This is where it all started, and the motor sport has never left me since then, never more.
A real home?
Absolutely! I live only 20 minutes away in Lanaken and am looking forward to the DTM in Zolder. It is also a very busy weekend, however, for me, because many family members, friends and Fans will come.
You sleep at home?
No, this is not a good idea. In Zolder much going on usually, and you can stand in a traffic jam if you drive in the morning to the race track. In the GT3 I have already missed almost a Qualifying. My team-mate is Q1 dangers, I was scheduled for Q2 and Q3. I came when Q1 was already over, I’m just jumping in the car and have brought to the Pole.
Have you been in a DTM race in Zolder lakes? The last took place in 2002.
No. But I know the route from the GT3 car quite well. I am very much looking forward. It will be something Special to drive there with the DTM car. The route has its pitfalls. For me, it is something like a little Nordschleife. A small mistake, and you’re out. Run-off zones. The Racing will be good, even if the Overtaking is more difficult than in Hockenheim.

Before the first corner or the Chicane before the Start-finish Straight.
What passages are in Zolder particularly difficult?
In the first fast sector, you can win much or lose time. The first left curve is very fast turn four. After that, the harassment follows, and then it is a mountain quite steep up and down again. And so the weather plays in Belgium often crazy.
Zolder is comparable to any other DTM track?
There are some Similarities with Zandvoort. If it comes off the line, you have an accident. This is so in Zolder. In this regard, the routes are similar, however, they have completely different Layouts.
