EDEKA, Audi and the FCI support school Breakfast

3.4.2019. Fresh fruit juices, natural yogurt, and healthy whole-grain bread: Who well-balanced Breakfast that has the right energy for Learning. Therefore, EDEKA South Bavaria, Audi and FC Ingolstadt 04 in a pilot project in five middle schools in the Region of Ingolstadt, to support the offer of a free Breakfast.

With “Fit for the day – healthy Breakfast in schools” want to enable the three partners to the children and young people a successful Start to the school day. It is also a conscious diet. With the necessary ingredients for a healthy Breakfast, schools are supplied by EDEKA in southern Bavaria.

The Breakfast project has been running since March and is initially set to last for a year. Of the Initiative, pupils benefit currently, the Ingolstadt-based Sir-William-Herschel-middle school, middle school On the Schanz, the Gotthold-Ephraim-Lessing-middle school, the middle school at the Pestalozzi street and the elementary and middle school in Manching.

The support is made by the respective booster clubs of the schools. Norbert Mair, rector of the Sir-William-Herschel-middle school, thanked on behalf of his colleagues in the three companies: “It’s nice that companies in the Region to social responsibility. This project allows children, who would otherwise, perhaps, no Breakfast, a good Start to the day and makes for more equal opportunities.“
