Renault welcomes extension of tax incentives for electric cars

31.7.2019. Renault Germany welcomes the Federal government initiated the extension of tax incentives for electric cars. Renault offers the Renault, the currently best-selling electric car ZOE in the German market.

“The agreed package of measures will bring the electric mobility in Germany,” says Uwe Hochgeschurtz, Chairman of the Board at Renault Deutschland AG. “The market for electric cars is growing strongly, with the support measures, this development will go in the next few years. As a pioneer and as one of the leading electric car supplier, Renault wants to continue its positive development in this market,” says Hochgeschurtz.

The Renault ZOE was in the first half of 2019 continues to be Germany’s best-selling electric car. With a growth rate of 106.3 per cent, and 5.551 approvals in the first six months of the electric small-claims car the Pole Position among the purely electrically powered vehicles.

Overall, Renault has sold in the first half of the year in Germany, so a lot of E-cars as never before. The sales of Renault models Twizy, ZOE, Kangoo Z. E. and Master Z. E., rose by 96 per cent to 6.295 purely electrically powered vehicles. (January to June 2018: 3.214 units). The Renault market share in the E-car Segment is located at the end of June at 18.4 percent.

In the autumn, the new ZOE with extended reach, new Design and new technology at the Start. By 2022, Renault wants to expand its E-car range on the world, eight pure electric and twelve-electrified models.
